On accepting a place as a fellow in March, I decided to hit the ground running, building my life-long relationship with Rotary.
During my application process, one important reason for applying was that I wanted to join the global Rotary family and represent the UK and my hometown as a Rotary Peace Fellow. I feel so proud that I am able to do this.
With that in mind, in late March / early April I have written my first, of what I hope to be many, blogs for Rotary. Blogging is something I have taken up since preparing to move abroad in 2016, and I really love! I hope that my blogs will be read by others, but at the same time, I enjoy the somewhat cathartic nature of blogging for personal reasons. It is like keeping an easy to access diary, that can be used to inform, and maybe even inspire, others too.
The Rotary blog is currently being shared in the Rotary and at ICU, so I will wait before sharing it on here. However, by way of a sneak preview, it is a blog on the ‘Top Ten Reasons to Apply to ICU’. I really enjoyed writing it, bring together some previous research, and it has got me even more HYPED to start in August as a fully-fledged student.
